Dear Friend,

I am so happy that I found you after such a long time. These past few years since we parted have been a roller coaster of events and not having you here by my side has been hard. You know how we have always been each other's cheering squad! 

Its been how many years? 15? Oh My Gosh! How time travels.

A lot has happened since the last time we saw. I remember that day clearly now. The tears at the airport and the promises to keep in touch. I really meant to keep in touch but it was hard to find my feet. Also you must appreciate that the Internet was a strange and new phenomenon then so keeping in  touch by email was out of it.

What a lovely family you have! Your husband is still as handsome as ever. The two boys look exactly like him when he was younger. And your daughter must be getting close to getting married herself. Fancy being a grandmother at our age. Ahh... just teasing! I am sure you will want her around a lit bit longer. 

Here is a photo of my daughter. Don't let her stature fool you. She is only 14 years old. She reckons she wants to be a fashion model and already she has me going mad driving her to auditions and photo sessions. Kids nowadays don't want to remain kids for long. I don't let her know that I am enjoying it though. I am very proud of her.

Duty calls so I have to go now. My regards to your lovely family.
